Why we love this drink?

Dark ruby red with violet reflections

Aromas of black fruits, cassis, licorice, lavender, blueberries, hazelnuts, walnut, plums, pen ink, violets, pencil shavings, mocha, graphite, cedar, sappy tobacco, spring flowers, minerality

Medium to full-bodied, juicy, fleshy, silky, with ripe polished tannins, balanced acidity, structured, elegant, refined, with a creamy cassis and fresh raspberry character

Long, savory, with a structured, almost Pauillac-like finish, notes of graphite, spice, and a persistent elegant finish

Pairs well with red meats, game, roasted dishes, grilled lamb, beef, and aged cheeses
History
Château Beychevelle is a 4th Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, with origins dating back to 1565. The name comes from the tradition of ships lowering their sails ('baisser la voile') when passing the estate.
